Opps, allways forget to put the basics. lol - this is in Charleston, South Carolina. At the antiquing district.

here is a little bit about it.
Not just for the serious collector, but fascinating for the novice too. Unique circumstances combine to make Charleston a center for fine antiques. Fine furnishings from England and the Continent, amassed by wealthy merchants and planters throughout the 1700s through the mid 1800s, found their way into auction houses in the aftermath of the Civil War. As families were forced to sell their belongings to survive, dealers from the northeast cities flocked to Charleston to buy them. Today, the tradition of Charleston as a treasure trove of fine antiques continues in the stores along King Street, with many concentrated in the Antique District, between Queen and Beaufin. Today, pieces come primarily from auctions, estate sales, or imports from other countries.

when me and becca get together we allways end up doing something supper fun. we even grabed our friend julie for th silly ride. and it was ummm..... A HOOT!

Charleston, South Carolina! I used to be crazy about the Charleston dance and music when I was still in high-school. Have always wanted to visit the city that bore the name of this music. Had no idea that the city was a renowned antique center. Really want to visit now!

Love your HOOT! Didn't know the word still survived... Wink

Me and Becca decided we were going to have a Hoedown or a Hootenanny. We went with Hootenanny. It sounded hilarious . Lol

So whenever people asked us if we were having a good time in their town. We would say eather, “it’s a hoot!“ or “Man last night we had quite the hootenanny!”

HA, ha, ha!

The antique district was awesome. Got a couple of tea cups and saucers. Beautiful. They had a great collection of Faberge style eggs. someday I will be that old lady that has hats, cats, and Faberge eggs!!!

LOL

Ha, ha. That is funny. I love the word hoot and would be delirious if it became actively used again.

When you are that old lady that has hats, cats, and Faberge eggs, I will come and take photographs. Smile

I shall use the word hoot daily from now on. To see if people around me pick up on it. Lol

When im that old lady. I would love for you to take photos of me. I think I’ll have a mixed look of Betty White and Jessica Tandy.

With a cup of hot tea “of course just a touch of brandy” and smoking Havana Honeys. Smile!

Betty White and Jessica Tandy? (I loved Tandy in Driving Miss Daisy.) I can imagine something with that. Part lots of attitude, part charming and elegant old lady. The "touch of brandy” and "Havana Honeys" make it perfect. Will you be taking a bath in the same bath tub as in the shot above?

Of course I’ll be in that tub. Ill have all timed furnisher. But I’ll have to bath in my dressing gown. Naked is just to improper for an elderly lad like myself. I’ll have to have a female companion too.

Someone little sweet lady that can laugh at my bluntness. And say “oh, come now. Don’t be so brash” she can do her food shopping with me while I by fruit on sale. Than return it saying its to hard or rotten. Just to get on the nerves of the produce man. At the local farmers market. Were I sell my stupid knitted toaster covers.

Wow, my imagination is going wild today. If this keeps up I’ll have to start a book. Eek

I can see it all in front of me. I think I like the lady in the tub better that the one selling toaster covers. Wink
