I think that you increased the contrast. That is not a bad thing at all. Many professional photographers use that technique, but often while shooting. It gives the image far more drama.

i use picasa - my boyfriend for life :P
anddddddd i only increased the shadows dramatically.. i think it made it look like a wild sunset eh??
