A photo of Kyoto more than 120 years ago. I recently bought this photo, so last week I shot a photo of the same cemetery. I haven't been able to find the exact same location of the original photograph, so I will go back.

That man really makes the difference, doesn't he? I wish I could find out who he is (or 'was', actually). Although I have over 2,000 vintage photographs and postcards of Japan, this is the first and only one of a graveyard. I really like this image. It does look kind of lonely, I agree.
