Can you actually get a working holiday visa without first getting a job? I didn't know that. I have a lot of links to sites advertising jobs in Japan on my personal site: http://www.ikjeld.com/linker/index.php?cat=222 (haven't checked if all the sites are still active -- let me know if one isn't). I hope this helps a bit!

hmmm yes
working holiday visa and working visa are two different things ^^only some countries allow working holiday visa (Canada, Japan, France, UK, Australia to name a few). They allow young people to go on vacations overseas and let them work in order to pay for their vacations (travel, hostels, etc...) but while on place, you don't ''have'' to travel everywhere and can just stay in one city for 12 months lol
and thanks for the link, I shall check them hehe

Yes, I am familiar with the working holiday visa concept. I just thought that you needed a job for it, just like for a working visa. I know many Japanese who got jobs before they left for Canada and Australia on working holiday visas. I guess now that it was just their need for security, and not a requirement of the visa.
Good luck with the links!
