Kjeld Duits: @Nyurah: I run into an increasing number of people in Japan that do the same. Actually, recently I’ve been amazed how many people have begun cutting their own hair. @Nora: Those accessories were even cuter in real. Some things are difficult to show in photos. ^_-
nora: Cute and pretty. It looks comfy for warm days too. I like the transparent fairy kei jewellery.
Nyurah: @Maria: In my country it’s the opposite, the prices are very high, but you still can’t find any good hairdressers.. so for a few years I’ve been cutting my hair by myself. so if it doesn’t turn out perfectly, at least I didn’t pay anything..^^

Nyurah: Every tale disney turned into an animation is tuned down, the original stories are always a looooot scarier. And often without a happy ending.. I love her strawberry bag.
Kjeld Duits: @MaliceInWonderland: Here’s some excellent background information: Fairy tales have ancient origin (The Telegraph), Grimm and the Origin of Fairy Tales (
MaliceInWonderland: Or a lot of them were meant for kids, but as cautionary tales and ways of keeping them in check and surviving. If they didn’t go out after dark, they wouldn’t be attacked by animals, if they didn’t talk to strangers, they were safer, etc. In many of the tales, they ended badly as lessons of “that’s what happens to children who misbehave”. When times were a lot more dangerous, it was often safer to scare the children in a safe manner like a story rather than having actual harm occur.

Sarah: I really like the futago thing :] It reminds me of when me and my friends would wear coordinated outfits in highschool
Tauromaja: I remember seeing a woman dressed in a leopard catsuit and her baby girl in the carriage as well! I kind of wish I had taken that photo!

Kjeld Duits: @Nyurah: RIght on!
Nyurah: Wide pants are just perfect for hot and humid summer weather. They keep you cool and don’t stick to your skin. I think even better than shorts, because they also protect you from direct solar radiation. And they look cool. So wide pants win! ;D
Garmai-Korto: He is super fly..

Kjeld Duits: @MaliceInWonderland: I expect that the more that dresses are accepted for men, the more “masculine” (whatever that really means) designs will pop up.
MaliceInWonderland: I like how this look uses a “Dress” and heels, but it definitely retains a masculine vibe and doesn’t look “out of place”. Not that I find anything wrong with men appearing more feminine, I just find it interesting that the gender dynamics have been tweaked but still very retained within this look.
Kjeld Duits: @Maria: Let’s hope that will change. ^^
